PROGRAM SCHEDULES FOR RADIO FLOWER RAJ.

December 2013
December is devoted to North Indian classical ragas & we have setup two schedules, six & a half hours of morning ragas starting at 04:00GMT (4am) & eleven hours of evening/night ragas starting at 17:00GMT (5pm).

Outside of these hours we play a random selection of tracks from our general archive.

NOTE: I have separated these into Morning & Evening/Night ragas; please let me know of any errors as I am not a great expert on North Indian classical ragas, I just really love them!

Radio Flower Raj serves internet radio for discerning listeners - news, interviews, music & more. We specialise in finding rare & exotic recordings, primarily of classical Indian music, but also of music made by travellers to and from India over many years.

General early morning & afternoon schedules have been set as we work out which direction the station should take.

Outside of those times we play a general archive mix, where each item in our archive is played twice per day.

Playing times for any item are therefore not predictable, since the list is rotated randomly.

Since we are essentially an educational site which seeks to present interesting oral history, we plan to record as many people as possible; people who want to tell some of their stories & a bit of their lives.

The only essential requirement is some connection with India or otherwise appropriate to The Flower Raj.

Never having run a radio station before I am keen to learn & if there is anyone in London environs & wants to work with me & has experience, ideally of computer DJing & internet radio, please contact Nico Morrison via this CONTACT FORM.
